The Challenge of Client Onboarding: Integrating KYC & Tax Documentation

In KYC

Welcome to a very special post!

A few weeks ago, TConsult chairman Ross had the opportunity to speak with Remonda Kirketerp-Møller, CEO of Muinmos to discuss the critical aspects of RegTech solutions in the financial industry. As you might remember, TConsult partnered with Muinmos back in 2023 to integrate our unique Investor Self-Declaration Platform (ISD) into the Muinmos client onboarding system.

During this conversation, Ross and Remonda delved into the challenges faced by financial institutions during the client onboarding process, with a particular focus on the importance of automation and compliance with regulatory requirements, especially when you’re talking about KYC and US Withholding Tax Frameworks. They also highlighted the significance of tax documentation and the implications of non-compliance, as well as how essential investor protection is and the evolving role of RegTech in streamlining the onboarding process.

Honestly, it was a fantastic conversation, and one that really showcases the synergy between TConsult and Muinmos. It shows just how well the combination can address real pain points for the industry, and the role of digital solutions to ensure regulatory experience and enhance client experiences.

The good news for you is – we recorded it! And you can see the interview in full below, or on our YouTube Channel. We’d love to know what you think, and if there are any other topics you’d like us to cover in the future.
