We are looking for a new person to join our team delivering compliance support to our growing client base.

 

Role: Consultant

Salary: £35,000 pa

We also offer:

  • 36 days of annual leave including UK bank holidays (pro-rated in the first year
  • 8% pension contributions.
  • After three months you will become a beneficiary of our Employee Ownership Trust.

Location: Fully remote.

There will be occasional travel required for company meetings. All travel and accommodation expenses will be paid by the company.

Hours: This role is full time. We offer flexible work options.

Job description:

You will be working with international financial services clients – typically custodian banks and brokers – to help them understand and meet their obligations under cross border withholding tax regulations such as QI, TRACE, FASTER, and anti-tax evasion regulations, such as FATCA, CRS, and DAC.

You will:

  • Manage our relationship with a portfolio of clients
  • Answer and provide opinions in response to client questions about how the regulations apply to their operations in practice
  • Work with a senior consultant to help write reports explaining how clients are exposed to different regulatory frameworks
  • Work as part of a team to carry out compliance reviews
  • Provide training to clients
  • Analyse new and existing tax regulations so we can provide up-to-date opinions to our clients
  • Provide support/ideas to contribute to the development of our proprietary compliance platform, the Tax Compliance Toolkit

Person specification

  • You have at minimum a basic understanding of financial services, especially B2B brokerage and custody
  • You might have some knowledge or experience in cross-border tax or international anti-tax evasion regulations, but this is not essential as full training will be given.
  • You have excellent attention to detail (picky is good), but can also see the bigger picture
  • You have good computer skills
  • You are self-motivated and good at working alone or in collaboration
  • You have good writing and communication skills
